- Print and fill out our VOLUNTEER FORM to bring with you on your first visit.
- Call Doreen Welch at 462-0459 ext. 237 or email her at dwelch@albanymission.com to set up an orientation/tour of the Mission.
Feeding the Hungry
We always need help serving meals; breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Learning Center
We can always use tutors and helpers in our classroom.
Transportation
We have a need for pick-up of donations from donors unable to bring in items such as clothes and household goods. We also have need of transportation for some of our men on the New Life Program to get to their new jobs. You can help by driving one of our trucks.
New Faith Family Center
We can always use help with mentoring, children's activities, and general building/apartment cleaning.
Groundskeeping and Maintenance
There is always work to be done to keep our building and grounds looking good and functioning well. We would love to have you be a part of keeping us successfull.
Banquet, Gift Wrap Booth, Miscellaneous
We have annual events that always need extra hands. We serve a large number of people on Thanksgiving and Christmas days. We pass out thousands of Christmas presents on Christmas Day. We also have a gift wrap booth at Colonie Center that begins the day after Thanksgiving. We have a banquet in October, backpack giveaway party and various other events throughout the year.
Blessingdale's (Clothing Center)
We get lots of clothing donations. We are in need of people who can help us sort these clothes and prepare them for free distribution to the needy.
Chapel Services
We have chapel services on a daily basis and need speakers and/or special music.
Office and Administration
We send out several mailings in a year. We need help preparing envelopes and address labels. We also have various other office tasks with we could use your help.
